Fans of Missy Elliott who live in New York City will get to experience a pop-up museum that celebrates the hip-hop legend.
Before the rapper receives the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, fans can get a chance to experience a pop-up museum celebrating Elliott on August 24 and August 25. The museum, which is called the “MTV & Pepsi Celebrate the Museum of Missy Elliott,” will allow fans to immerse themselves in the rapper’s groundbreaking music, videos, and costumes.
The MTV and Pepsi event will be located at 632 Broadway in New York City from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24 and from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m on Sunday, August 25, according to a press release. The immersive exhibit will feature installations that inspired some of the minds behind Elliott’s music videos, like director Hype Williams and costume designer June Ambrose.
