Beyoncé surprised fans on Wednesday morning, dropping a live Coachella album the same day of her Netflix documentary was released.
The singer, who is known for surprise albums, released her performance at Coachella, Homecoming: The Live Album, on the same day her documentary, Homecoming, aired on Netflix. The documentary and the album highlight Beyoncé’s iconic performance during last year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Queen Bey was the first Black woman to headline the annual festival in Indio, California and performed with dozens of dancers, a marching band, and special musical guests including her sister Solange and her husband Jay-Z. She also reunited with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams to perform three Destiny’s Child songs: “Lose My Breath,” “Say My Name,” and “Soldier.”
