A$AP Rocky Freed from Swedish Prison

Rapper A$AP Rocky was released from a Swedish prison on August 2 pending the conclusion of his assault trial.

A judge stated that the 30-year-old rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, and two members of his entourage, David Rispers Jr. and Bladimir Corniel, were allowed to remain free while they awaited the verdict of the trial, The New York Times reported.

Rocky and the two men were accused of assaulting Mustafa Jafari, 19, during a fight in Stockholm back in June. Daniel Suneson, the public prosecutor of Stockholm, previously told The New York Times that Rocky punched, kicked and hit the 19-year-old with a glass bottle.
