22 African American Historic Sites and Organizations Receive $1.6 Million in Funding

  1. Andrew Mellon Foundation awarded $302+ Million in grants in 2017. So the recent $1.6 Million divided among 22 organizations in 2019 is not some big donation to be celebrated. It is a token amount and should be viewed that way.
